Religious Education Registration Forms for Sept. 2017 - May 2018 School Year
Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Families ,
You and your family are invited to participate and have your children attend religious education classes at Our Lady Of Loretto Parish. We have a wonderful program, involving students and parents, with a supportive pastor, great teachers and an excellent staff. Our classes are small and the catechists give special attention to each child who attends.
The material taught at each grade level is supplemented with lessons relating to the seasons of the church year, that is, Advent, Lent, Christmas, Easter as well as including those prayers and practices which are part of our Catholic tradition. As part of these practices, students learn and participate in the Mass, the Stations of the Cross, the Rosary, and the crowning of Mary.
Sacramental programs are as follows, Grade 2: Reconciliation, Grade 3: First Eucharist, Grade 8: Confirmation. The focus of the program at those grade levels is on the specific sacraments.
In kindergarten and first grades students meet God as their Father and Creator. In succeeding grade levels, students study the commandments, beatitudes, the seven sacraments, scripture both Old and New Testaments, and the life of Jesus. We have a well rounded and vital program.
Because of our call as Catholic Christians to serve others, each grade level is involved in service activities appropriate to their grade. In this way students not only learn about their religion, but also practice being of service.
As the first religious educators of your children, we ask you to consider sending them to religious education classes at our Lady of Loretto. Classes are held from 9:30 to 11:00 AM on Sunday morning. Students are dismissed in time for families to attend the 11:15 AM Mass. We hope to see you.
